EVA photovoltaic film melt metering pumps in detail
Melt metering pump is mainly used for extruder or medium-high viscosity polymer pressurization, metering, flow uniform and stable delivery, applicable to EVA, PS, PP, PET, PVC, PC, PMMA, PA, ABS, PE-LLD and other processes.
Polymer melt pump is composed of two gear tooth profile, pump body, side cover plate constitutes the metering pump of the feed to go and the transmission area, discharge area; work, relying on the master-slave gears of the mutual gear caused by the change in the working volume to transport the melt. When the gears rotate in the specified direction, the melt enters into the middle of the two gears' grooves in the feeding area, then the gears start to rotate and the melt is brought into the feeding area from both sides, and the gears are toothed again, so that the melt in the grooves is extruded out of the discharging area, and pressed to the outlet pipeline. As long as the pump shaft rotates, the gears pressurize the melt to the outlet, so the pump outlet can reach very high pressures, while the inlet flow and pressure are not too demanding.
Installation of melt metering pumps in PV film extrusion lines reduces pressure fluctuations at the die head; suppresses the rise in polymer temperature; assumes the pressurizing function through the melt metering pumps, while the extruder assumes the responsibility of melting and mixing the polymer only; thus, not only improves the efficiency of the entire extrusion line and the high quality of the product, but also reduces the load on the extruder and achieves a longer service life of the equipment.
