Structure and composition of high-temperature melt gear pump
High temperature melt gear pump is a high-performance hot melt pump equipment developed specifically for special working conditions. Its structure consists of eight components, including the pump body, front cover plate, rear cover plate, driving shaft, driven shaft, shaft sleeve, spiral seal, and cooling water ring. The driven gear, pump body, cover plates on both sides, and external heating and cooling devices of the pump body are composed. The driving shaft is connected to the drive and drives the driven shaft to rotate in the conveying direction, conveying polymer melt to the machine head.

In polymer processing applications, there are three types of high-temperature melt gear pump gears: straight teeth, helical teeth, and herringbone teeth, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Straight tooth gears have high strength and effective volume output under high output pressure conditions, with a long service life. However, the pulse is slightly higher than that of helical gears. The pulse of helical gear is slightly lower than that of straight gear, but its compressive strength is not as good as that of straight gear, which can generate axial load. Long term friction between the gear end face and the rear cover plate sleeve also affects its lifespan. Herringbone teeth have the advantages of straight and oblique teeth, but they have high shear forces and are prone to thermal degradation of materials. Therefore, when selecting gears, it is necessary to consider the characteristics of the material.
melt pump extrusion
The ZB-B series melt gear pump uses tool steel or alloy steel as the gear and bearing material, and high-temperature tool steel or stainless steel (corrosion-resistant special) as the pump body material, with a hardness of around HRC65, and a smoothness of 0.8 for the flow channel and eight shaped hole. Our ZB-H series high-temperature melt pump extrusion uses imported CPM tool steel or titanium tantalum alloy material as the material for gears and bearings, with overall quenching, hardness of HRC62-68, and good wear resistance. There are three sealing methods for melt gear pumps: mechanical seal, mechanical packing seal, and mechanical packing cold water triple seal. These materials and designs ensure that our products have excellent performance and can meet the needs of various high-temperature extrusion melt pumps.
